Most dive shops like to take you out snorkeling in the Florida Keys and Key West, but here are some companies that have trips set up for it. Most, if not all have rental equipment you can use - bring along some towels, sunscreen, a camera (you can buy a disposable underwater one inexpensively) and something to drink. Riders are usually OK, too. Take the kids out and you can stay dry in the boat.

Snorkeling in the Florida Keys is one of the best things we have to offer...  You do not have to be an expert, any age is ok and the equipment to snorkel is minimal and can purchased or rented cheap. Coming down to the Florida Keys and not getting in the water is a shame - it's what we are famous for, and a truly rewarding experience as well. Try the reef or just jump in alongshore, oceanside or bayside Always have a "diver down" flag (inexpensive at any store here in the Keys) for your safety - and it's the law.
